Project MJ Update III.5 It’s been hot in Michigan this week. But even with temperatures in the mid 90’s, the crew at Zone Offroad has been busy building up Project MJ for the 2011 Ultimate Adventure. Project MJ Update: With D-Day approaching quickly and only 3 weeks until the Petersen’s 4Wheel & Offroad Ultimate Adventure, Dave and Carter show you what the Zone Offroad crew have been busy working on. With the unibody strengthened through a combination of new plating and roll cage upgrades, the work can begin to properly set up the suspension and interior. After test fitting tires, the guys had to rework the front inner fenders, cutting into the floorboard and firewall, but who needs legroom? Zone’s Project MJ The buildup is underway and the Zone Offroad crew is transform this plain jane ’90 Jeep Comanche into an all out trail beast. With race truck inspired design and trail rig capabilities, this MJ  will be a head turner. Upgrades include new Zone suspension, engine, drivetrain, body, lighting, and safety upgrades. With new parts ordered and many arriving as you read this, this truck will quickly  take shape over the next few days and weeks. This past weekend, Zone Offroad made the trip down to Lima, Ohio for the 26th Spring 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals. Although it rained most of the week prior to the show, we were fortunate enough to have clear skies and warm weather during this three day event. With our new trailer in tow, we setup Friday morning and stayed busy throughout the weekend talking with show participants and spectators.
