2011 Indy 4-Wheel Drive Jamboree, a set on Flickr. During the weekend of September 16th-18th Zone Offroad attended the Indy 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. Except for a few sprinkles on Saturday, the weather was perfect with mostly clear blue skies for all three days of the event. The crew from Zone loaded up the show truck and trailer this past weekend and headed out to Butler, PA, birthplace of the Jeep and home of the 1st annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. Events started Friday as downtown Butler was taken over by over 1000 Jeeps taking part in the largest Jeep parade ever and continued through the rest of the weekend as everyone made there way over to the fairgrounds. Well I have eventually upgraded my tired Pro-Comp 2 inch suspension to a Zone 4.5 inch lift, with Nitro shocks . I’m happier than a WJ owner in a Shopping Mall car park 🙂 So far I am very impressed with the ride, but I haven’t had it offroad yet. I can’t compare it to stock, because I have never had a stock suspension, but I will say that the onroad ride is far nicer than both the Pro-Comp (when it was still functioning) & the OME on my previous XJ.
