2011 SEMA Show: Each year there is a show that acts as the grand finale and jump start for the automotive industry. Out in the desert oasis of Las Vegas, hundreds of thousands make the trip for from around the US and abroad to see what’s new in the automotive aftermarket at the show that is known simply as SEMA. Getting Set For SEMA
Zone’s been busy setting up the booth (#30170) and placing vehicles around the convention center in preparation for the start of the 2011 SEMA Show out in Las Vegas this Tuesday. With 2000+ companies exhibiting this show is is set to be largest in recent years. Zone MJ being prepped for SEMA
Project MJ prepped for SEMA Zone Offroad’s Project MJ, a 1990 Jeep Comanche built to take on the 2011 Ultimate Adventure hosted by Petersen’s 4Wheel & Offroad. After completing the trip the Jeep went on display at off-road events around the country before being torn back down to prepare for SEMA.Come see us in booth #30170 (South Hall, Upper Level) to check out the rig and what’s new for 2012!
Project MJ being prepped for SEMA
It seems like deja vu, the MJ stripped down, parts strewn throughout the R&D shop, a quickly approaching deadline and long build list left to finish. After a 6 week scramble back in May-June to gather parts and build our 1990 Jeep Comanche in time for this year’s Ultimate Adventure, the rig, and its drivers, were put to the test during the week long journey traversing over 1000 miles, some half dozen trails, and scorching 100+ days. The trip gave the guys from Zone the opportunity to test out new prototype parts from a long arm suspension, skidplates, and bumpers
OKtober Truckfest 2011
OK Auto 4wd: Stewartsville, NJ This past Sunday, October 16th, Zone Offroad attended OKtober Truckfest 2011 at OK 4WD in Stewartsville, NJ. At 9am participants flooded the entrance waiting anxiously to register their vehicles for the show-and-shine contest and get ready for the days activities. One of the highlights for the day had to include the Blackhawk helicopter operated by a crew of soldiers circling overhead, and eventually landed in the participant parking lot!
