Zone’s HD in the shop for airbags

Zone’s 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD is an awesome truck, loaded up with all the optional factory creature comforts like leather and backup camera as well as some pretty sweet accessories. We used it to prototype our 2011 GM2500 5” lift kits earlier in the year and now rides on the production version of that kit along with a set of 37” Mickeys. With Zone’s rapid growth over the last few years, we had a need to upgrade the show trailer and went with the 30′ triaxle Dominator many have seen at shows to haul our displays, products, and the recently build Project MJ. With all the additions to the trailer and show gear, our 2011 HD developed quite a squat in the rear when towing. We gave our friends over at Air Lift a call and they set up us with The LoadLifter 5000 airbag setup and WirelessONE onboard compressor system. After a quick delivery and a short install in the shop, the bags were ready to be tested out.

With one road trip on the bags so far we are impressed. The truck’s smooth ride remains, and we’re no longer receiving rude gestures from oncoming traffic being blinded by our headlights. The rear sits much more level and we’ve noticed some additional stability while towing. We like the ability to adjust the air pressure to match the load we’re hauling.
