Zone Offroad made the trip up to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes to enjoy the weather and take part in the 1st Annual SLSD Jeep Invasion. With the Zone JK prepped and ready Zone rep Shawn headed to Mears, MI for the dunes welcoming over 400 Jeeps and other 4×4’s for the event. Here’s what Shawn had to say about the weekend:
What a weekend, great weather and fun for the whole family. The weekend started off with the lineup to get on the dunes and despite a bit of miscommunication with DNR, the entire group made it onto the sand for the show-n-shine from Saturday afternoon. Along with showing the rigs off plenty charged the dunes, made tracks, caught up with friends and made new ones on the sand. We set up with our B&L Motorsports for the weekend to take part in all the action and talk to customers and hand out swag. By 1pm the show-n-shine came to an end, awards were handed out and the group was let loose on the dunes. Along with the other activities around the town, B&L Motorsports opened had plenty on display and by night a live band and beer tent kicked off after-hours party. Sunday morning the event wrapped up with prayer and blessing for everyone in attendance lead by yours truly in the Zone Offroad JK. After the prayer and blessing it was more fun on dunes until it was time to head back to reality. Thanks again for everyone that came out and to B&L for their hospitality. Can’t wait for next year!
