The Titan XD and Zone Offroad:
The Nissan Titan XD is a well-built truck with a cult following available with a V8 gas or Cummins diesel powertrain options. One area it lacks is clearance for larger tires which is why Zone Offroad developed the 2" leveling kit, adventure series UCAs and the complete 2" adventure series lift systems giving clearance for up to 34" tires to be installed.
These kits utilize a pair of bolt-on steel fabricated upper strut spacers designed to raise the ride height and provide clearance for larger tires and wheels. These spacers maintain factory ride quality without over-extending the suspension geometry at full droop and install easily with no strut disassembly required. While most companies stop right there, Zone Offroad supplies front sway bar relocation brackets to correct the front sway bar positioning for proper function as well as includes bump stop relocation brackets to correct bump stop engagement for better function off-road.
CORRECTING FLAWS IN DESIGN:
In developing these kits, the engineering team found the Titan XD to have an excessive amount of tow change during wheel travel both at stock height and lifted so they developed a replacement steering centerlink to correct the flawed design for reduced tow change, improved handling, and better tire wear. The new centerlink is CNC machined from a solid steel bar and finished in a durable black e-coating.
MORE ON TECHNOLOGY:
Along with the front lift kit, the adventure series lift kits include a pair of heavy duty upper control arms (UCA) for improved strength, and wheel travel. The arms utilize a repositioned ball joint mount to provide greater range of motion for improved suspension travel when used on leveling and lifted trucks. This corrects the ball joint binding issue common on stock control arms leading to premature wear of ball joints. The arms are constructed from 1/8" steel plate, boxed and fully welded with CNC machined ball joint and bushing cups. High quality MOOG ball joints come pre-installed and ready to handle offroad abuse. These ball joints use a red anodized ball joint cap and are greasable for easy servicing as well as far superior corrosion protection when compared to uniball style control arms. At the frame mount, the arms use factory style, durometer-specific rubber bushings pre-installed for quiet maintenance free. The arms come fully assembled, finished in a durable textured black powdercoat finish for quick, easy installation right out of the box.
Rounding out the complete 2" adventure series UCA kits are is a 2" rear block and u-bolt kit to maintain a slightly tail high stance, extended length rear sway bar links to correct sway bar positioning and your choice of Zone Nitro gas shocks or FOX adventure series 2.0 gas shocks.
