Coldwater, MI—November 26, 2014— Zone Offroad Products is first to market with several new lift kit options for the all new 2015 Chevy Colorado and 2015 GMC Canyon 2WD/4WD trucks. Now shipping are 1.25″ leveling kits, 1.5″ body lifts and 2.75″ combo kits allowing you to clear up to 33″ tires (285/70r17 on stock 17s).

1.25″ Leveling Kit: The 1.25″ leveling kit is designed to eliminate the factory rake of the truck to level the stance from front to rear for slightly larger tires to be installed. The kit uses a pair of laser cut steel top-mounted strut spacers to raise the front ride height while still allowing full range of motion from the factory suspension. Spacers are black e-coated for a clean look and long lasting corrosion protection. The kit is completely bolt-on and does not require disassembly of the factory strut for easy installation. This kit allows for the install of 265/65r17 tires on factory 17″ wheels.

1.5″ Body Lift Kit: If you’re looking for that extra boost to help clear larger tires under your new Colorado/Canyon then the 1.5″ body lift kit is your ticket. This mild body lift is an easy install and can be done in a matter of few hours with basic tools. The kit includes crushproof body blocks, class 10.9 extended mounting hardware, front and rear bumper relocation brackets to maintain original appearance and all the necessary hardware to complete the install. This 1.5″ body lift allows clearance of up to 275/70r17 tires on factory 17″ wheels.

2.75″ Combo Lift Kit: If you’re looking to get the benefits of both the leveling and body lift and save a few bucks, the combo kit is a great option. This 2.75″ combo kit offers a level stance and room for up to 285/70r17 tires on factory 17″ wheels. The 1.5″ body lift with crushproof body blocks extended mounting hardware, and front/rear bumper brackets are packaged with 1.25″ e-coated steel top mount strut spacers for an affordable lift option to improve the look and performance of your 2015 Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon.

Hey guys,

I’m in Canada and would like to buy a leveling kit for the 2015 Colorado. Can we make that happen?

Thanks

Matt

I have a 2015 Colorado 2wd, and want to know if I can clear 33×12.5×15 tires with the combo lift/leveling kit.

Thanks!

Hey Caitlin, we spec the 2.75” kit for fit up to a 285/70r17 which measures out to roughly 33×11.50 tire. You likely won’t be able to use a 15” diameter wheel on your ’15 Colorado due to clearance issues with the brakes and steering components. While you may be able to fit larger tires tun we spec, you will likely need to trim the fenders and even then may occasionally have interference issues. For more on the topic you are welcome to contact our sales/tech team at (888) 998-9663.

Just got a 15 colorado 4 x crew long box

Will the 1.5 lift affect handling/ride ?..would like to up grade shocks and beef up the rear carrying capacity and level truck .

Also black rims, slightly larger tires , on the narrow side .

Can you help me with this ?

Hey David, congrats on the new truck! We offer a few kits to fit the new Colorado including the 1.25” leveling kit, 1.5” body lift, and the 2.75” combo kit. The 1.5” body lift won’t effect ride quality/handling as the suspension is not being modified, just the body being raised off the frame. The 1.25” leveling kit uses a top mounted strut spacer which doesn’t effect ride quality, but will raise the ride height of the vehicle by increasing the length of the strut. We limit the lift to 1.25” because it levels the stance and going taller will max out the upper ball joints at full droop of the suspension.

We offer rear hydraulic and gas shocks to fit your truck, however a shocks won’t increase load capacity, that’s the work of the leaf springs. Shocks dampen the movement of the suspension (up or down). If you’re looking for extra load capacity, an add-a-leaf will do the trick while also raising the ride height slightly or you can install an airbag load support kit (assuming someone has a kit available for the Colorado) that can be aired up to support extra weight without raising ride height.

Lastly the wheels. The 2015 Colorado/Canyon trucks use a new 6 on 120mm bolt circle that hasn’t been used before. We had our wheels custom drilled from a company called Raceline Wheels. Aftermarket wheel companies are working on wheels for these trucks, but you will need to search around to see who has them available. We have our recommended wheel/tire specs listed on this post as well as on the individual product pages.

I have a 2015 Coloeado LT with factory 18 inche wheels. I just want the truck to sit level. Will the 1.25 kit affect the ride at all?

Our 1.25” leveling kit mounts on top of the factory strut and won’t effect ride quality. This design allows for quick installation and retains the OEM spring rate and strut valving, just lengthens the overall strut length to eliminate the factory rake and allows for slightly larger tires to be installed.

2015 Colorado, will the 1.5 level kit let me go from the stock 255/65/17 tire to a 265/70/17 with out scrubbing, and may be putting a add a leaf on back to give it the same stock look?

Hey Frank, we spec the 1.25” leveling kit to clear 265/65/17 tires. The 265/70r17 will be slightly taller, but should fit without issue or at most with some minor trimming. The rear AAL will give you that stock rake.

Hey Robert,
total ground clearance isn’t something we take a measurement of when developing the kits. With leveling spacers and a body lift ground clearance won’t change much from stock and is mostly effected by the height of the tires your choose to run on the truck.

Just bought new z71 4×4 Crew cab colorado,Can you use your leveling kit and body lift kit together to raise it and keep it level without hurting the quality of the ride? Or change any standard part of the truck?

Hey Crockett, if you check out the 3rd lift option we offer we’ve already packaged the leveling kit and body lift together to save you money over buying them separately, we call it a combo kit. With all our lift options the ride quality isn’t effected and the truck will perform as is does from the factory while allowing you to install larger wheels/tires. If you have any other questions contact the sales team at (888) 998-9663 or [email protected]

Thanks, when it comes to lifting a truck I’m ignorant.Do a lot of bird hunting out west and want to get that front spoiler up.

I have a 2015 Canyon All Terrain Edition. I’m looking to level the ride. Will your front level kit do this? Will I require an alignment after install or am I good to go.

Hey Joe, our 1.25” leveling kit is designed to do just that, raise the front suspension to level the stance and allow for slightly larger tires to be installed. While the kit won’t effect the alignment much, we recommend a re-alignment anytime the suspension is modified to ensure the the best possible tire wear and drivability.

Hi Just bought 15 Colorado LT Extracab and want to buy 1.25 leveling kit. I’m also getting Fuse D517 wheel 18×9 6/120 bolt (custom made) with a 285/60R18 Nitto Tera Grapler G2. Will these measurements work with 1.25 without touching?

Hey Brian, we include our recommended wheel/tire specs on each product page (links above). On the 1.25” leveling kit we spec 265/65r17 tires on 17×8/18×8 with 5.75” BSing. That size tire measures out to about 30.55” x 10.71”. For the 285/60r18 tires you want to run they measure out to 31.46” x 11.55”. Not knowing the width/backspacing of the wheels you’re running I can’t guarantee they won’t have some rubbing with just the leveling kit. It may require trimming to eliminate the rubbing at full lock or when the suspension is compressed. If you’re set on that tire/wheel size you may want to consider the combo kit (combines the leveling and a 1.5” body lift) for additional clearance. For more info feel free to contact us at (888) 998-9663 or [email protected]

I bought 2015 colorado all I want to know, the 2.75″ combo kit will it void the factory warranty? I’m really interested but afraid of voiding my extended warranty.

Hey Rosario, congrats on the new truck. A lift kit won’t void your warranty, by law (magnuson-moss act) a dealer can’t deny warranty without proving the modification caused the failure. That said all Zone lift kits include Factory Protection Plus, a comprehensive extended warranty to step in in the event the dealer tries to deny warranty work for any reason. Vehicles are covered for 5-years or 100,000-miles and its at no extra cost to you. For more on Factory Protection Plus head to http://zoneoffroad.com/customer-service#fpp

I am curious what the wheel and tire specs (diameter x width x offset etc.) are for the truck in the picture with the 2.75″ kit?

I am lookin into going with a 20×9 rim with a 0 offset to fit 33×12.5 tires.

@Samantha 33×12.50 tires are a tall order to fit with 2.75” lift and would require 5-6” of lift to clear. We spec the kit to fit up to 275/70r17 which is roughly equivalent to a 285/55r20 or (32.5” x 11.5”) tire.

i was just curious with the 1.25″ leveling kit what size tire i could run on the stock 16×7 rims? The factory tires are 265/70r16. Could I run a bigger tire then that?

Thanks alot!

Hey Dave,
The leveling kit will open up some additional clearance in the wheel well, but may still require trimming to go to a larger tire. When we developed the kit initially we ran 265/65r17 (very similar to 265/70r16). You should be able to fit the next size up tire (265/75r16), however minor fender trimming may be necessary.

Hey Greg, we manufacturing kits to improve the trucks offroad capability, lower kits aren’t something we get in to

Hey Jonathan, The leveling kit install isn’t overly complicated, we rate it as a 2 out of 5 on our difficulty scale. We have the step by step instructions available for review at http://4x4media.info/instructions/zon/C1121.pdf to se if its something you or your friends feel comfortable attempting.

If you prefer to have it installed by an authorized technician, as many people do, we have authorized dealer/installers throughout the US and abroad. Head to our dealer locator and type in your zip code to find a list of dealers near you http://zoneoffroad.com/find-dealer

The photo of the colorado w/ 1.25 leveling kit at the top of this page. What is the tire size and manufacturer on that truck?

Thank you

Hey Trevor, with the 2.75” Combo Kit installed we ran 285/70r17 Hankook A/Ts on 17×9 Raceline Mambas on the Colorado

Would like to thank you for the website info.

Im from down under Australia and i was wondering if you’re body lift kit will suit our rg colorado that came out in 2012. All specs point to being the same truck , the only difference being that we have the 2.5 TD and 2.8TD.
And how could i go about buying a kit.
Thanks in advance
Nelson

Hey Nelson,
Thanks for your interest and for reaching out to us. While there seems to be a fair amount of crossover to the platform sold in Australia, we haven’t been able to test fit and confirm compatibility to the US Chevy Colorado. As per company policy until we have a chance to test fit in our facilities we won’t list it as an available option. Currently we don’t have international shipping options, you would need to use a US ship-to address or find a dealer that offers exporting services. For more on the topic you can contact our sales team at [email protected]

got a 2015 canyon all terrian . how high will the 1.25 level kit lift the front end because it needs 2 to 2.25 inches to become level .thanks ,Dave .

Hey Dave,
Our 1.25” leveling kit raises the front end 1.25” over stock to help level the stance. The issue with using a taller strut spacer is that the stock suspension isn’t designed to accommodate it. A taller 2”+ strut spacer can physically be installed, but shouldn’t be will cause the suspension to max out the upper ball joints at full droop hindering ride quality and causing premature wear of front end components. We also offer a taller full 5.5” IFS kit that is designed to level the stance.

My cuestion is my colorado 2015 i instaled 2″ lift kit onli in front end cut bumper i need option what is the tire size end rims.?

Hey Jose,
at around the 1.5-2″ lift height on the new Colorado/Canyon we recommend running 275/70r17 on stock wheels or wheels with similar width/backspacing to the stock wheels

Hey Andy,
If we’re talking a taller 2-3″ body lift there is more involved to complete the install. With 1-1.5″ body lifts the steering and other components aren’t in as much of a bind so you can get by with fewer mods. Our 1.5″ body lift for the late model Colorado/Canyon comes complete with everything needed to properly lift those trucks 1.5″, no additional modification are required. Kits include body pucks, front and rear bumper brackets, parking brake bracket, bed spacers, loctite and all necessary hardware.
