Zone at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari
Easter is a wonderful time of the year, and nothing beats taking some time to enjoy our favorite past time and do a little 4wheeling. Zone made the trip out to Moab, Utah for this year’s Eastern Jeep Safari, an annual event with nearly 50 years under its belt. From Jeeps to trucks, truggies and side-by-sides, this event boasted thousands of vehicles that took over the quiet town of Moab for a week of off-road action.
This was Zone’s first year displaying at the event (last year we made the tip to see what it was all about) and it was awesome. After a week of off-roading with Project MJ, photo shoots out on the rocks, hanging out with the writers from the various magazines we set up for the vendor show with our distributor Fat Bob’s Garage. Despite the dust and wind that broke the tent, there was an impressive turnout and tons of people came by to say hi and check out the new products. We offered free beer coupons for the local brewery and gave out nearly 750 coupons throughout the week. Thanks to everyone that stopped by to say hi and drank a beer on us!
Project MJ having completed the Ultimate Adventure last summer preformed amazingly. We ran a number of trails throughout the week and outside of crunching the fiberglass fender against a rock during the Crawl Magazine readers ride and ignition issues after jumping the rig during a photo shoot (which turned out to be a tire grounding out against the header) the rig survived everything we threw at it.
